Lectures on the 60th Anniversary of the Foundation of Japan Oil Chemists’ Society for Oleo science innovation in the future
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The Japan Oil Chemists' Society (JOCS) was established on November 21, 1951. In 1954, the Society was registered officially as a public service organization by Japanese Government. The objective of the Society is to contribute to the advancement of science and technology on oils and fats, surfactants, oleochemicals, biochemicals and their related substances through working to bring members of the Society closer together. In 2012, the Society celebrates the 60th anniversary of its establishment.
On this occasion, we propose “Lecture on the 60th Anniversary of the Foundation of Japan Oil Chemists' Society”. This meeting is opened to citizens, too. The meeting in Sasebo convenes two top scientists and an enterpriser. They are Dr. Osamu SHIMOMURA (distinguished scientist, Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), Woods Hole. Novel Prize Winner of Chemistry in 2008),
Dr. Norio MIYAURA (specially appointed professor, Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University), and Mr. Motoki OZAKI (Chairman of the Board Directors, Kao Corporation).
